Our day today started with four little excited kids running into our room and jumping into bed with us. Then the family tradition began... on birthdays and mothers or fathers day, everyone hops into our bed and shares something meaningful that they like about the 'special person'. Then it's present opening time.
Symon sure looked pleased this morning when he opened up Miss 4's special present - his very own car! And I must say that Master 6 was so thoughtful with his coupons... one of them being "one free wrestle". Just what Daddy wanted!
Then after church we went visiting Symon's dad, and my dad. All three "dad's" are such wonderful guys. All very different, and all very special.
Syms... thank you for being such an amazing dad! As this quote says... "Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad". I love the way you put fun and laughter into our lives... even if I get annoyed at the mess and noise that comes with it. Thank you for taking your role as a father very seriously, not letting your own wants and needs get in the way. I know you will reap the benefits of that important decision one day.
My dad... I love you lots Dad. Thanks for always being there for me. Thanks for encouraging me to give everything a go, for working hard to provide for our family and for loving mum.
Happy Father's Day!
