The softie saga...

By PaisleyJade - Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Today was a rather busy day... but for some reason (maybe that strange need that I have to hide away and craft when I'm stressed) I decided to make another candlewick fabric softie (remember these cuties?).

To my surprise, I actually finished this little guy - Benny... in between changing the sheets on the beds, baking some cakes, entertaining my three year old who just doesn't stop talking, feeding my ravenous bush-whacking husband (he's been clearing wild ginger on our property), picking up kids from school, hanging out washing and dropping off our son to squash lessons... in amongst other things.  Phew!  It's pretty much a miracle that Benny is even here!

Alas, when someone asks me what I do all day, my mind goes blank and it never really seems like I did much (don't you hate that?).

So if you like Benny, he's here in the shop.  Also, please remember to check out the feltaid shop for some amazing creations with all proceeds going to a very worthy cause!

I think I need a lie down.

  4. He is gorgoeus. I craft or bake when things get stressful- my husband thinks it is hilarious. Amazed at what you fitted into your day. Cx

  5. If anyone were to ask ME what I had been doing today I would say that I have been cleaning up wees and poos (amongst other things) as I decided to "graduate" my almost 3yr old to undies - so my day has pretty much consisted of running him to the toilet like a baton in a race or cleaning up "accidents".

I think that would pretty much kill any "what the heck DO you do ALL day?" sort of conversational leanings - don't you? Actually it would probably kill any further conversation AT ALL.

PS I <3 Benny. And I wouldn't pluck bits from him to make hole patterns like my old bedspreads. Honest. I'm all grown up and mature-like now :/
