The Drake Fighters...

By PaisleyJade - Monday, September 20, 2010

With Symon being out most nights the last week, our family was in desperate need of some quality time together. After discussing this, we decided another family fun night was due.  Later that day, each of us were handed a named envelope by Symon, with this inside...

You wouldn't believe how excited the kids were (and me realising that all I had to cook for tea was noodles!!). They've been planning their costumes and 'names' for the last couple of days - and tonight we had one of the best nights together that we've had in ages!!

So I present to you: The Drake Fighters

Name: She Fighter
Special Skills:  Super Sneaky

Name: Pink Panther
Special Skills: Speed & Super Scratch

Name: Black Ninja
Special Skills: Agility & Ninja Stars

Name: Red Panda
Special Skills: Strength & Fireball

Name: The Crochet Menace
Special Skills: High kick & crochet hooks (my Granny Neck Warmer actually came in handy!)

Name: Mandrake
Special Skills: Good looks & Big Guns (haha - he's so humble)

We had so much fun doing our photo shoot together, eating noodles while watching a dvd, wrestling, having a little prize giving ceremony and playing a computer game together.  Fun doesn't need to cost heaps or take too much effort - it's just about taking time out and doing something special together... and having a bit of fun at the same time!!

It's amazing how simple planned fun can be, and the memories are so worth it!

What fun, great to see everyone enjoying the moment, love the outfits, especially the lovely looking lady in the black boots, the kids all did so well with their outfits and would have enjoyed getting them altogether; Mr Paisley Jade looks rather dashing as well, wonder where he gets his looks from!!

HaHa LOVE it. That looks too awesome. We also love having family nights. My husband works horrible shifts so we very rarely get family time so as you know it is so important to make the most of it! In fact I was suppose to go a party tonight but the hostess is ill...maybe we can have our own party!?!

  28. What a brilliant idea. Awesome. My 7-year-old was looking over my shoulder as I read and she is now pottering off to make invitations for a themed family night here (granted, our theme is likely to be Princesses or Girl Detectives or somesuch, but hey ;-)
