I had great plans for today...

I did you know... I had really great plans for today.

I was going to be the bestest mum in the world and do all sorts of fun things with my kids... and I was going to get back into being a really crafty person and get a giant pile of softies and felt yummies ready for a local craft stall at the end of this month.

But somewhere in between doing the lunch dishes and hanging out the washing, my darling Miss 2's forehead collided with the robust edge of our trampoline and made a nice little gash on her cute baby face.

So all my plans went down the drain and I found myself sitting in the local emergency medical centre trying to console Miss "I don't wanna go to da Dokta!".

What happened to Miss "I wanna be a Dokta" you may be asking? Well, thanks to Mr Trampoline that dream is no more!

I pre-warned the staff about Miss 2's struggle with medical stuff and the lovely nurse put a sticking plaster on Sheepy (her cuddly toy)... and Sheepy even got a smiley face sticker on his hand for being so brave. But Miss 2 would have none of it!

In the end I found myself holding my screaming baby down (tightly wrapped in a blanket) while the Nurse and Doctor glued her gash together.

Somehow, I get the feeling that we are back to Square One.

  1. Oh man. Poor Keke. Unfortunately this is just more fuel for the PC pad pushing trampoline nay-sayers.

  5. Been there, done that, more times than I'd like to remember. I know it's never convenient for your child to get hurt but they always have the knack of doing it at the most inconvenient times! Hope she's feeling better soon.
