♥ Weekend Bliss ♥

By PaisleyJade - Monday, August 08, 2011

We had a great weekend, the type of weekend any other totally normal family would have... cause we're a perfectly normal family right?

: : There was some trying on of Poppa's gas mask (cause that's what you do when you visit your Grandparents isn't it?).

: : There was our early Sunday morning wake up which consisted of one random lady driving her car right up our driveway at 5 am in the morning, parking her car right outside our bedroom window (with her lights on) for about 10 minutes, then driving off again.  The really cool thing (not) about this was that Boo (our ultra scary guard dog) slept right through the whole thing!

: : There was some beautiful 'Mummy & daughter' posing for the camera...

: : There was delicious desserts... jelly, custard and cream layered together in mugs. Mmmmm!

: : There was a bit of ugly crying from me as I watched the farewell Delirious concert on DVD - especially when Martin Smith begins to cry and also when their cute kids come on stage.  I'm only about 2 years late in grieving over the breakup of a band that we've been listening to for the last 15 years or so (I still feel the nausea of morning sickness when I hear some of the songs that were popular while I was pregnant with our first kid).

Oh yeah, and there was a bit of crochet... therapy for my "band breakup grief".

Yeah - so all in all, it was a great and perfectly normal weekend with my lovely normal family.

How was yours?

  10. What?!?!?! Delirious broke up!!!???!!??
    BaaaaahhhH!! WaaahhhH!!
    I LOVE delirious!
I still find myself back in 1999, (my flat with the high ceiling, candles flickering, tears pouring down) everytime I hear Obsession.
Their early stuff was amazing, and still some of my fav songs EVER.
I wasn't so keen on their last two albums apart from a few songs, but SAAAAD that have broken up :(
    Thanks for letting me know.
