Baby Showers

By PaisleyJade - Monday, January 26, 2009

Yesterday I went to a friends baby shower. The table was decorated beautifully and there were some lovely baby shower ideas I thought I might share...

I loved the idea of a 'baby tree', filled with goodies for the mum and baby to come, as well as the cool 'nappy cake' in the middle of the table. A little book was also passed around with pages marked for us to share baby name ideas, tips for the new mother, as well as a special message to the mother from us.

We didn't play the typical baby shower games, but instead had a lovely tea party together. I even spoted some of my softies on a chair in the lounge.

Here are a few photos from the day. What different baby shower ideas have you noticed lately??

Wow, it looks lovely! It is always so much fun waiting for a loved one's baby!! But more to the point I want that flat manicured back yard!! It looks so lovely compared to my block of hilly dried out bush!!

  4. Wow! Love the setting and atmosphere created. Someone has put a lot of effort in and it's paid off. Makes me want to organise a tea party. The most recent baby shower I went to involved belly dancing! It was fun.

  5. This cake is cool. I made my first "nappy" cake for my daughter's shower last weekend. Here's a link if you want to see it.
