Boo

Loving...

By PaisleyJade - Thursday, January 17, 2013

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening
in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is.

We are soaking up the last few days of our summer holidays before we return back to work next week, and the children to school the following.  Our mission these holidays was to firstly, try to relax and de-stress, as well as spend some much needed quality family time together, and also hopefully get more of our old bungalow painted.  I think our mission has been accomplished!

Here are a few things I've been loving the last couple of weeks...

Jackalopes - yes, I love Jackalopes.  Along with the new addition to our wall, this gorgeous necklace arrived in the mail via Etsy last week.  I LOVE it (sorry Mum - I know Jackalopes creep you out a bit).

If you love Jackalopes too, I have a blog button just for you at the bottom of my site.

Loving my crazy family and spending some quality time with them...

We've loved roasting marshmallows by the fire in the evenings.

Master marshmallow roaster - he has perfected the art of marshmallow roasting!

Boo needs to go on a marshmallow diet...

Helping Poppa get the sand out of the cockles before we devour them!

The boys have loved snorkelling this summer

Mummy daughter date. Love this precious, tender hearted princess of mine.  Such a sweetie and fabulous little helper.

Loved little gifts that have arrived along the way...

Beautiful Russian doll via my brother & sister (in-law) in Australia

My monthly instalment of coffee beans via Coffee General

This cute Dala print purse made by the fabulous Becky - I love Dala horses!!

I haven't loved painting the house, but I've loved seeing the result of painting it... farewell hideous orange bungalow!

My fabulous little helpers painting one of the sheds (I promise this isn't slave labour...)

Have loved iced tea, and zhuzhing it up with lemon, strawberries, apples, moustaches...

Loved having a date night with Symon... dinner and a movie - bliss!  Oh, and hello to the lovely lady I met while at dinner (Fat Camel), a blog reader all the way from Canterbury who recognised Symon and came to say hello!

Finally, loving my Whangarei bloggers.  These girls are an amazing bunch.  I have especially loved reading these two story's lately, Liz and her journey to New York, and Arna-Lise and her journey of having an 11 week premature baby.  Click on the links to read and the image below to visit more.

Yes, so much to love - join in with other people's loving here.
