Things I'm Loving...

I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for... no matter how simple it is.

Here are a few of the things I am loving at the moment...

The biggest highlight of my week would have to be dolphins!!  Earlier this week our family joined with others to farewell a precious friend of ours heading back home to South Africa (we will miss you Hanneke!!).  While we shared a meal at the beach, a group of dolphins turned up and put on a great goodbye show.

Symon and our oldest boy even got to swim with them...

Loving my moustache straws...

Loving the excitement that flying a kite for the first time brings... check out that face!!

Loving watching the kids enjoy their first proper beach outing and family swim this summer...

Loving snuggle buddies.  I reckon that these "sworn enemies" are secretly best mates.  Remember last time?

Loving making my "Ugly Blanket"...

What things are you loving at the moment?

Here's how you can join in....

  8. I'm making an "ugly blanket" for my sis for christmas - I just joined all the left-over squares I had from my "crazy blanket" using light pink yarn...it looks odd with all the orange and brown and green but I think the result will be good enough to be used for snuggling during horror-movie nights in DARK room :D

love your post! I'd do mine but most of the things I do now are meant to be a christmas surprise so I can't post pictures yet... :)

Love the moustache straws. Where do you find these things. I haven't found anything remotely moustache like around these parts.

Our sworn enemies like to snuggle too.

  16. Thanks for your comment. Trust me, the will power with the camera is all but gone :) You should try the pumpkin pie. It's really easy, AND it has condensed milk in it! I used this recipe http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/perfect-pumpkin-pie/detail.aspx and made the pastry and the maple syrup cream from here... http://joyofbaking.com/pumpkinpie.html
    It's yummy :)
