♥ Weekend Bliss ♥

By PaisleyJade - Monday, October 10, 2011

There was only 4 of us at home this weekend, so we made the most of it and lived it up a bit.

"Living it up" in our house means doing things like going to McDonalds (thanks Grandma & Grandad for the spending/spoiling money) and visiting the local pet shop.

We also caught up with lots of precious family members and ate delicious goodies.

Did I mention there was also a 'pet slug' thing going on?  That was until I discovered one of the slugs being stroked and cuddled up in a blanket (it was also a wee bit dry).  The pet slug phase ended right there and then (and thankfully the slug was returned to the garden safely).

And of course, I continued on with the birthday blanket of torture.

That my friends, is a broken crochet hook.  The blanket of torture strikes again.  Crochet is definitely a dangerous and strenuous hobby.  For all of you wondering, no, I have not finished the blanket yet.  I have 10 days (10 DAYS!!!!) to go.  Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!

All in all, it was a great weekend, but I'm soooo glad my big boys are home safe and sound.

How was your weekend?

  8. A broken crochet hook?? Woah you are hardcore! ;)
Although having 'Pet Slugs' is a little on the bizarre side, I do miss the child-friendly size of slugs in NZ... over here they are anywhere from 3-5 inches long and FAT and HIDEOUS! They always come out onto the track where I run after the rain and I spend my whole time dodging them and grossing out... eeewwww.
