Models wanted...

By PaisleyJade - Tuesday, July 06, 2010

I've had a few beanie projects to finish this last week - one for a friend who shaved all her hair off to raise funds for the leukemia foundation, and another for a little girl who has undergone chemotherapy and has lost all of her beautiful hair.

It's been fun crocheting for a cause, but I've had so much trouble when it comes to finding models for my beanies around the house - no one is keen at all!  I've tried bribing with lollies and chocolate (apparently they don't like that "yukky dark chocolate" we have in the pantry), and even threatening... but for some strange reason, everyone is sick of modeling the beanies.

And when I do get a photo, it looks like this or this one below...

So alas, I think those years of cute beanie modeling photos (here, here and here) have come to an end.

I will just have to be thankful for the lovely white drawers that happily display the latest creations...

I was allowed a couple of shots like this one below if no face was showing!

Quite cute really.

  2. Oh your Beanies are so adorable, so are your current models.. too funny about the refusal to model! The beanies look great anyway and what a good feeling to be making them for someone special who is going through such a hard time.

  12. hahaha... perhaps you could put the beanies on a big teddybear or ??? cat?? horse?? lol

Ashers' cat Chubby is a great model! He sits really still and won't move for ages...like he's sitting there thinking...if I pretend to be a statue it will just "disappear"... finally he shakes the item of clothing off and "disappears" himself! :)

  17. Your beanies are great... I do so love them...
Yep a tad hard when the crew won't co-operate!!!
You will have to think creatively- maybe make a cut-out or use a ballon...
So many photo opportunities await you...
the crew will be so dissappointed that they have been made redundant, they will come begging, for their 5 mins of fame, with their tails tucked betwix their legs... you see.... ha ha
