My Creative Space

By PaisleyJade - Thursday, July 21, 2011

This last week has seen a flurry of making... you see, it's the school holidays here, which means there's a wee bit more mess and stress around here at the moment... which also means that I often have an earnest desire to sneak off and make or bake something.  Strange I know - but it seems to keep me sane (so far anyway).

There has been the creation of another two fluffy bunny softies.  Although I long to make more crazy softies like Yeti's, Robots, Mustached cupcakes and other unusual things, these wee guys are always a hit and rather quick and fun to whip up.

There has also been two phone covers, crocheted for my lovely Mum-in-law's new mobile phone...

And lastly, I have been inspired and started on a very cute project using these.  Can't wait to show you!

p.s. oh yeah, and I'm still making thousands of granny squares for this.

  3. I absolutely LOVE your softies! Love. Them! I've become inspired by all your sewing and crocheting...I'm going to *attempt* to carve out more time to crochet and I am going to *attempt* to finally make little stuffed thingies with my daugters' outgrown, yet still adorable, clothes.

Question, maybe you've answered this before, what sewing machine do you use to sew your softies? I have a basic/cheapy Singer and am nervous to put heavier material (like denim and thicker cotton) through it but have no time or patience to hand sew little faces and such.
