Today we celebrated the birthday of our baby - she's no longer a baby, but a beautiful and precious young lady!

A couple of years ago our children were all saying what they would like to do/be when they grew up. Our youngest declared (with total sincerity) that when she grew up she wanted to be a penguin and live on a farm!  

She still loves penguins, and although she didn't have a big party this year with friends (just precious Grandparents, Nana and her great Nana as guests) she had ordered a penguin ice cream cake! Now how in the world do you make one of those!!??!!! Dad took it upon himself to create her one, along with a Watermelon Shark again!

*For those of you wondering, the Penguin Ice Cream Cake is basically a tub of ice cream, covered in melted white chocolate, surrounded by jelly and decorated with some precious penguin ornaments. Easy huh!?! Also, it totally tasted like a white chocolate Magnum!!!

We had a delicious afternoon tea and enjoyed celebrating this precious wee girl, our little gift from Happy Land!

Happy birthday to our beautiful Happy Land princess!

There is a certain little girl around these parts who will be celebrating her birthday in a couple of days.  This certain little girl is obsessed with penguins at the moment!  In actual fact, she was obsessed with them last year on her birthday as well (see her cake here).

She has been begging me lately for one of my softies, so I thought I'd have a go at making her a penguin softie.  I'm really happy with how it has turned out!

Hopefully she'll like it too - but shhhhhhhh, secret squirrel!!

We love our kids - often Symon and I wonder at how different God made each one. Other times we look at each other and exclaim, "Who is this Child"?

We've done that quite a few times with our youngest daughter - such a character, such a dreamer. She is an independent little girl that marches to the beat of her own drum.  Lately we've been referring to her as the one who comes from Happy Land.

Here's a little song she made up (and got her sister to record) yesterday.  It's nice to know she thinks so highly of us (I honestly wondered if she had noticed all the stuff we do around here while she is in Happy Land).
