We watched her have her kindy "birthday" today - and another school visit is being greatly anticipated for tomorrow. My emotions are swinging wildly. I couldnt believe how hard I found it without my little playmate around... the constant chatter and company. I was suddenly thrust into this new world I was so unfamiliar with, no work (outside the home) no constant mothering... and no one to take with me for coffee dates with certain bloggy girls ;)
Now we are homeschooling for a term I am really going to approach her return to school next year quite differently.
Hopefully grieve it before hand like Widge suggests... and find a job if my hubby has his way :)
Hope you have that Gap year, it sounds like a great plan ..one I had too ...lol.Leoniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09516228055700632229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-14334521891377944242011-10-03T15:33:45.468+13:002011-10-03T15:33:45.468+13:00wow, What GREAT comments. I started staying home with my children 5 years ago and remember feeling like I wasn't doing anything but changing diapers, cleaning the house, playing with my kids. Then I realized this was my time to nurture them, to plant seed of love and compassion, and to train them up in the word of God. I have had tough days and wonderful days and I wouldn't trade this time for the world!Traciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08832067330122792620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-90208560712601151142011-10-03T12:41:49.271+13:002011-10-03T12:41:49.271+13:00Love it, awesome thoughts!! I was walking the dog down the beach last week and thinking about life in general when I realised that in 10 years my eldest will be 21! That was a real eye opener for me to get off my backside and make the most of these next years with him and his sisters before it is too late.Barbshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04341505098056975344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-5696620174196874072011-10-03T10:03:02.186+13:002011-10-03T10:03:02.186+13:00This is so fitting for us, we are preparing for ou...This is so fitting for us, we are preparing for our oldest to start school in a couple weeks. While I am super excited for him, I am also a litte sad our baby is growing up so fast. Have a big ugly cry somewhere (I preferred to do this alone) and give it all to God. He understands every seemingly little "silly" thing that we are sad about and it works soooooo good!
I did this a couple of months ago, gearing up for the big change and I left my baby at school on Thursday for her first real day with a huge smile on my face. I'm actually really excited now cos I've got some cool news I'll blog about at some stage)and I've been a preschooling mum since I was 19 and now I'm fully ready for what is next (even painting our house!!) I almost skipped out of the school gates yelling "WHOOP WHOOP!" though I didnt cos I know some other mums would think I was awful. However, I'd done my grieving, it was all out, life rolls on.
You will rock it P.j xoxoWidgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16699707227049240330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-33034735078367698732011-10-03T09:34:33.176+13:002011-10-03T09:34:33.176+13:00You beautiful beautiful woman/Mummy.
