Yes it has been intense and horrific. But something very special has also happened : we have become neighbours, Victorians are neighbours, in fact most Australians.<BR/>I think prayer has been invaluable in the process and restoring faith. It is wonderful to think people outside of Australia are praying for Victorians and looking for ways to help. God Bless you!!!Miss Prudencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17221866676164942968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-19320981738332789612009-02-20T11:06:00.000+13:002009-02-20T11:06:00.000+13:00Thankyou very much for your thoughts and kindness....Thankyou very much for your thoughts and kindness. I am a Victorian living in Melbourne and this is a sadness for all of us. I too am devising ways to help in the short and long term. I am volunteering to man phones for the Red Cross as the people who have been working must be tired. I lost my grandmother through the heat in this period as many people lost loved ones. The devastation is vast and the people in the bush were the keepers of our history, our hearts and souls and memories. We must recognise this is about humanity and our habitat. I have recently been given the gift of two beautiful grandchildren and reflect on it all. Life is not about expediency it is history, creativity and what we add to the world, not take away.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-80539575198271392272009-02-12T10:19:00.000+13:002009-02-12T10:19:00.000+13:00Apparantly just one of the fires they are experien...Apparantly just one of the fires they are experiencing is bigger than the size of the largest fire we have ever had in New Zealand. We really need to stop complaining so much about the heat we're having. Sure it's humid, but at least it isn't on fire.Stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02961700445027433895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21793903.post-60473305583098924302009-02-11T22:48:00.000+13:002009-02-11T22:48:00.000+13:00The bushfire is heart wrenching!
